Insiders have revealed the 'shocking reasons' behind Sarah Harding's antics on Celebrity Big Brother 2017.
The Girls Aloud star has had quite a turbulent month in the house but has managed to stay put until today's final.
At the start of the series, Sarah said she was keen to change the public's views of her.
"I won’t be drinking much, I’d like to keep a level head, stay sane and avoid dramas," she said.
Now 'insiders' have claimed that Sarah's erratic behaviour on the show all stems from her days in Girls Aloud and the group's apparently messy split.
"She's always seemed a bit of a mess, because she's always been so unsure of herself," a source told heat magazine. "When she started off in Girls Aloud, she was a very different person. She was fun, vivacious and really excitable, but a celebrity lifestyle and her fallouts with the rest of the band changed her."
Sarah, who reflected fondly on her time with the group this week, apparently "hated" the girl band's final days together and would regularly row with the other girls.
The source explained: "By the end she and Cheryl used to have massive fights - there would be rows, with Sarah saying no one listened to her opinion."
The insider went on to say that Sarah was hoping to "revive her career" on CBB but has seemingly been struggling.
"She's so obsessed with trying to prove that she's reformed, that she's not the person everyone thought she was, that her own personality got lost - she's too insecure to even try to be herself," they added.
Meanwhile, Sarah's pal Michelle has defended the singer and insisted she's "a sensitive soul".
"Sarah hasn't held back on the fact that she suffers from anxiety and has had depression," Michelle told OK! Magazine. "I think she's risen above that not given up or walked out.
"I don't think she's too vulnerable to be in there. She's not as fragile as people think. If anything, she's showing how strong she actually is to continue. She's just a sensitive soul and she will take things to heart very easily."
Celebrity Big Brother 2017 airs nightly on Channel 5.
The series concludes this evening live from 9PM.
