Love Island's Alex Beattie and Montana Brown have denied they've split - but few believe them.
The pair, who had become boyfriend and girlfriend in the villa, were reported to have parted ways less than a week after the final.
The Sun claimed that the couple hadn't actually seen each other since arriving back in the UK.
A source told the tabloid: “Montana is keen to follow her dreams as a TV presenter and has been attending meetings this week to get the wheels in motion.
“She doesn’t like partying and isn’t a big drinker so personal appearances in nightclubs aren’t really her thing."
They added: “Instead she is ambitious and very much a career woman – her relationship with Alex is going to take a back seat.”
On last night's reunion show the pair insisted they were together.
Asked about the claims they had split, Alex declared: "Definitely not."
Although Montana then admitted: "He lives way up North."
And when asked if Montana has "said the L word yet", Alex admitted she hadn't in a rather awkward interview.
It's fair to say that those watching were not in the slightest bit convinced.
"Alex & montana were so FAKE. Obviously they broke up now that #loveisland is over," one posted to Twitter.
Another opined: "Alex and Montana are so fake. Everyone else made the effort to see each other no matter how 'far' away they were #LoveIslandReunion"
And a third agreed: "#LoveIsland Alex and Montana didn't even look at each other I swear 😒"
Making an appearance on ITV's Loose Women last week, Montana spoke about her reasons for signing up and revealed: "I just thought it would be a really good platform for me to do what I want to do.
"I don't know what that is yet, but I just thought it would open some doors and maybe some opportunities as well."
She added: "To be in the public eye, I feel like it gives you a great platform to influence the public in a good way."
