Former Dancing On Ice pro Sylvain Longchambon will reportedly take on the role of head coach for the revived series.

Ice skater Sylvain appeared on the original series as one of the professional performers and ended up marrying one of his celeb partners, Samia Ghadie.

Now he's set for a return when the new series launches - but this time as a coach.

Former coaches Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean have been tipped to take up a role on the judging panel alongside Jason Gardiner.

"Dancing on Ice is going to look quite different when it comes back," a source said this week. “Torvill and Dean are going to be on the judging panel so there will need to be a new approach to teaching the celebs to skate.

“Sylvain has been on the show for years and has proved popular with both the fans and the production team so they’ve asked him to come back."

The insider told The Sun newspaper: “Things are still up in the air and a lot of new skaters are being considered and approached, so the line-up of pros could look totally different.

“But Sylvain will definitely be at least one familiar face when the show comes back early next year."

Meanwhile, celebrities on the rumoured Dancing On Ice line up include Coronation Street actor Antony Cotton, rugby player Max Evans and celebrity psychic Sally Morgan.

Reality regular Katie Price, cricketer Ebony Rainford-Brent and Olympian Amber Hill are also on the rumoured Dancing On Ice cast.

More names are reigning Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown, Loose Women panellist Saira Khan and soap actress Katie McGlynn.

Dancing On Ice has been tipped to return in 2018 on ITV.
