Big Brother 2017: An awkward announcement for the housemates

The Big Brother 2017 housemates have been giving a rather awkward announcement.

It was either Charlotte or Isabelle who was evicted from Big Brother 2017 last night in a suspire backdoor eviction.

They were put up for the axe by Hannah and Tom during their stay in Big Brother's secret attic.

After the eviction, the remaining housemates celebrated making it to the final.

But Big Brother had an awkward announcement to make as it was revealed they actually weren't in the final at all.

Raph went to the Diary Room to confirm: "It's absolutely crazy.. wait are we not finalists? Are we kidding ourselves?"

After Big Brother explained housemates had indeed not yet made the final, Raph continued: "That's weird, I feel so foolish now then

"Everyone downstairs think we'll be here to the final day now. That's what everyone thinks downstairs, so we probably all look like fools."

Seven housemates currently remain in the house - including Second Chance Housemate Andrew who can't win but has a guaranteed spot in the final.

Channel 5 yesterday announced that Big Brother has another twist planned this week that will see TWO more housemates given the boot.

The vote to win for the finalists - Hannah, Deborah, Tom, Kieran, Raph plus either Isabelle or Charlotte - will open at the end of tonight's show (Tuesday).

Lines will then freeze on Wednesday and the two housemates with the fewest votes at that point will be given the boot.

They'll again leave via the backdoor on Wednesday night with their exits revealed on Thursday evening's highlights.

It will leave just five housemates in the final, including Second Chance Housemate Andrew.

Channel 5 have also revealed that former housemates from the series will be back in the house today as part of a new task.

Big Brother 2017 continues nightly on Channel 5.
