One couple has been dumped from the villa in tonight's Love Island 2017 results - but who left?

It was Montana Brown and Alex Beattie who left Love Island 2017 tonight following both a villa and public vote.

And in a special surprise, it was host Caroline Flack who dropped by to announce the news.

After a day of tears when the Love Island contestants' parents joined the villa, the mood in the villa was about to be brought down by a single text.

Chris got a message: “Islanders please gather around the fire pit immediately.”

Caroline then made a dramatic entrance into the villa. She said: “Islanders, on Friday night you were all asked to secretly choose one couple who you thought should be dumped from the Island.

"Your votes put three couples at risk, which means two couples are definitely safe and through to the Love Island final.”

Caroline then announced the results of the villa vote, revealing that Chris & Olivia and Kem & Amber were safe and through to the final.

Caroline continued: “That means Alex & Montana, Jamie & Camilla and Marcel & Gabby, following the Islander vote, you are all at risk of being dumped.”

However, only one couple was leaving tonight.

Caroline explained to the Islanders that the public had been voting for the two couples they want to save.

The two couples with the most votes joined Chris & Olivia and Kem & Amber in the final. The couple with the fewest votes was dumped tonight.

Alex and Montana were revealed as having the fewest votes, seeing them sent home.

Therefore the Love Island finalists are Jamie & Camilla and Marcel & Gabby, Chris & Olivia and Kem & Amber.
