Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood's parents meet on Love Island 2017 tonight.

This evening, the relatives of the remaining couples enter the villa.

Amber gets a text in the morning: “Islanders, it’s time for the ultimate relationship test. #parentalguidance #meettheinlaws”

Olivia’s mum and sister join the group together with Chris’ mum and dad.

It is an emotional reunion for Olivia and her mum and sister and Olivia is surprised to see them both crying. In the Beach Hut, Olivia later admits: “They both came down the stairs blubbering… I didn’t know if it was because they were so mad at me or so happy to see me.”

Olivia’s mum tells her: “When you’re at your best together, you are having so much fun, but you’ve got these big personalities and you’ve got to allow each other to be yourself…

"It’s been pretty emotional watching you, it’s been difficult at times. You’ve done really well, you’ve been so funny.”

Olivia tells her mum: “I’ve never met anyone like him, he makes me so insane but at the same time, he is so kind and funny and he’s fit.

"I thought you’d love him because he’s from the countryside.”

“That goes down well,” Olivia’s mum replies.

In the Beach Hut Olivia then admits: “I was so nervous to meet Chris’ mum and dad because we’ve been through it and I’ve shouted and sworn at her son and vice versa so I was thinking they might hate me.”

Meanwhile, Chris talks to his parents.

His dad says: “There’s been some villagers who I’ve met when they’ve been walking across the fields to get their paper, one in particular said ‘Do you know, that programme with your boy on, it’s addictive.’”

Love Island 2017 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
