The parents of the remaining Love Island 2017 couples enter the villa tonight.
In this evening's episode, Amber gets a text: “Islanders, it’s time for the ultimate relationship test. #parentalguidance #meettheinlaws”
Chris and Olivia are both scared about meeting each other’s family whilst Kem questions how he should do his hair to meet Amber’s dad.
Jamie reacts to the news: “I feel a little bit emotional. It’s weird I’ve only been here a couple of weeks, it’s going to be funny to see my parents come in.”
Amber’s mum and dad and Kem’s mum and brother are first to enter the villa.
Both Kem and Amber are visibly emotional as they greet their loved ones. They go off separately with their parents to have a chat and catch up after almost two months away from home.
Amber’s dad tells her: “I absolutely love him, he is amazing. The whole of Wales has been absolutely rooting for you.”
Chris then comes to meet the family. Kem’s mum says: “I think he’s my third son now.”
After the first families leave, Montana is talking to Camilla: “I’m really nervous to meet Alex’s mum. It makes me feel uncomfortable that Alex’s mum has watched us on TV.”
Camilla echoes: “This is so nervewracking.”
Montana’s mum and aunt then enter the villa alongside Alex’s mum and step-dad.
Alex’s mum tells Alex: “You just seem really natural and comfortable in each other’s company which is great… You’re supportive and respectful... Just remember there are cameras all of the time!”
Alex cringes, “I knew that would come up.”
Olivia’s mum and sister are next to enter the villa alongside Chris’ mum and dad.
It is an emotional reunion for Olivia and her mum and sister and Olivia is surprised to see them both crying. In the Beach Hut, Olivia later admits: “They both came down the stairs blubbering… I didn’t know if it was because they were so mad at me or so happy to see me.”
Next, Gabby’s mum and brother enter the villa alongside Marcel’s mum and sister.
As Gabby and Marcel’s families leave the villa, Camilla is still nervous.
As her parents and Jamie’s parents enter the villa, there are lots of tears and hugs as they reunite.
Her mum tells her that the family and Grandma have been watching: “Apparently she’s got the subtitles on. She did phone one evening and say, ‘I can’t really chat because I want to get back and watch the last bit,’” which makes Camilla laugh.
Camilla’s mum gets teary and starts to cry: “I just think it’s such a brave thing to have done. It’s very strange when I think that you’ve been off to these places to work and yet on the outside, this is lounging about in a villa in the sun all day, what is so brave about that? But it is such a brave thing to have done.”
Jamie’s parents meet Camilla’s parents. Jamie’s mum shares her favourite moment and says it was when Jamie made Camilla’s birthday breakfast.
Camilla’s mum adds: “Actually I thought that Sausage Fest challenge was quite fun!”
Later in the Beach Hut, Jamie says: “It was really weird meeting Cam’s parents, it’s their daughter and you want to do right by the daughter and you want to make sure you are looking after her. I just hope that they liked me.”
Love Island 2017 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
