Montana Brown turned down the chance to appear on Love Island last year, it's been revealed.
The then student rejected an invitation from the show's casting team to join the villa because of her University work.
She was invited again this year and, having finished her studying, said yes.
Montana revealed to DigitalSpy before entering the villa: "I got approached in a club, which was quite weird because I wasn't expecting [ITV] to be in there!
"After I turned them down, we kept in touch and this year they asked me back and I thought, 'You know what, I'm going to do it!'"
And Montana wasn't the only one who was invited to apply.
Camilla Thurlow also didn't put herself forward to take part in the show.
"I didn't actually apply, I was approached initially," she explained. "When I first got asked I was like, 'Oh gosh, will I be able to do this?' But I had a few meetings with the team and they were all so friendly."
Olivia Attwood also confessed: "Someone from ITV approached me, that was what originally alerted me to Love Island."
But not everyone who ended up in the villa was asked to be there.
Love Island 2017 continues nightly on ITV2.
