The reality star and ex Hollyoaks is actor is set for a TV comeback on Celebrity Big Brother next month, The Sun reports.
If true it would mean Paul following in the footsteps of former Celebrity Love Island co-star Calum Best who last appeared in January's Celebrity Big Brother All Star series.
A show insider told The Sun newspaper today: “Paul’s name has been bandied around the Celebrity Big Brother team ever since Love Island returned to our screens.
“He was completely bonkers on that in 2005 so producers think he will be a great addition to CBB."
They added: “They’re hoping he’ll bring a bit of the old Love Island vibe to the house and stir up some mischief.
“It should be an explosive series with him on board.”
The rumours follow the first teaser from Channel 5 about this summer's Celebrity Big Brother being revealed yesterday.
Alongside a new look eye, Channel 5 said: "This summer, our celebrities will take a break from their hectic schedules for a stay in the country's top celeb retreat - the Celebrity Big Brother house.
"Here they can let down their guard and unwind away from the paparazzi. It's sure to be holiday heaven for some celebrities and a holiday from hell for others."
They added: "The Big Brother house is undergoing a complete redesign ready for its new star guests. It will become a high end retreat inspired by celeb hotel hang-outs.
"But while the celebs kick back and let their hair down, Big Brother never takes a day off – after all, he wants to ensure that the celebrities will have an experience that they will NEVER forget!"
Other rumoured celebrity contestants include Absolutely Fabulous star Helen Lederer, Girls Aloud's Sarah Harding, X Factor's Amelia Lily and reality star Jordan Davies.
Celebrity Big Brother's summer run will launch on Tuesday, August 1 at 9PM on Channel 5.
