Friday's latest Big Brother eviction took place without a live crowd outside the house.

It was Simone and Sue who left Big Brother in the latest live show Friday night.

But in a twist to the usual format, Emma hosted the show from inside the eviction studio surrounded by only a small group of people.

"It’s nice in here, isn’t it?" Emma remarked at the top of the show.

There was no big crowd outside the house as usual and Sue exited via a back door rather than from the front of the house.

"Is Emma avoiding outside because an audience hasn't turned up? #BBUK" one viewer on Twitter quipped.

Another asked: "Where's the crowd tonight @bbuk have I missed something #bbuk"

However Channel 5 have said the decision to axe the main crowd outside the house was due to 'The Hunt' twist which saw Emma enter the house to evict Sue and bring her out to be interviewed.

Channel 5 say that the main crowd will return for next Friday's show, according to the Metro.

Next week's eviction is also scheduled at 10PM however the final airs from 9PM on Friday, July 28.

The latest crowd drama follows last week's episode where the outdoor audience was looking rather spare.

Crowd pictures from the studio at Joe's eviction saw huge areas of the staging area left empty.

"I don't know what's worse... leaving via a back door eviction or leaving to half a crowd as nobody turned up. #bbuk" one viewer quipped.

"Omg looks like there's only 10 people in the crowd! #BBUK" another reacted on Twitter.

And a third commented: "#bbuk there looks like there is only about 12 people in the crowd?!?!"

Big Brother 2017 continues nightly on Channel 5.
