Olivia Attwood attempts to reignite her romance with Mike Thalassitis on Love Island 2017 tonight.
It follows Mike's shock return to the villa last night and Olivia's split from Chris Hughes the evening before.
The day after Mike's return, Olivia tells the beach hut: “It’s the most crazy situation. Me and mike are super compatible on paper, very similar ways of doing things, very similar life. Me and Chris, nothing compatible in that sense but me and Chris have this spark. We can’t stay away from each other. Me and Mike never had that spark.
"At the end of the day, Mike is not going to be interested in round two with me because I didn’t treat Mike perfectly when he gave me a chance. I threw it back in his face. So I would not expect him to want to entertain me a second time and it doesn’t change my feelings for Chris, it’s just interesting.”
Later, Olivia declares herself "done" with Chris.
She says: "It’s not a break. We broke up, we’ve had four weeks, we’ve tested the hell out of it. It doesn’t work. Mike is banter but he sits and chills and he wouldn’t be bothered about me being loud and being myself, he’d just let me do my thing.”
And Olivia admits Mike is her target for the next recoupling: “Right now, I’d pick Mike. I think we’re very compatible. I wish I hadn’t made Mike feel mugged by me but also, I wouldn’t know that me and Chris are so incompatible if I hadn’t tested it."
But in the Beach Hut, Mike says he is wise to Olivia’s ways: “I’m not an idiot, I’m not stupid. She played me before so she is not getting grafted on by me, fact. I’m not a mug. Well…” he laughs.
Later Olivia and Mike chat as she tells him the situation is "different" to when he was last in the villa.
She says: "When I saw you come through the door it was weird. I toyed with my head if I could have gone back, I would have done things differently. I should have given you a chance but because of the timing, I was one foot in and one foot out.”
In the Beach Hut, Olivia admits: “There was an initial physical attraction to Mike, he’s absolutely gorgeous… It’s whether there was a spark there. Last time he was here, there wasn’t a spark. Could there be a spark this time? I’m going to find out.”
But Mike says privately: “One part of me is saying ‘drop her out, leave it, be straight up with her’ and the other side is saying, ‘she mugged you off, mug her off back.’ It’s not in my character to do that, but I feel like she might deserve it a little bit.”
