Love Island 2017 bosses beef up security after explosive recoupling

Love Island 2017 bosses have beefed up security following Friday night's show.

The latest episode saw a dramatic recoupling that ended with explosive drama.

In a twist, the new Islanders had first pick of who to couple up with.

Recent addition to the villa Theo Campbell chose Tyla Carr, taking her away from Jonny Mitchell who was left absolutely fuming.

In another dramatic recoupling result, new girl Georgia Harrison had first choice of which guy to partner up with and chose Kem Cetinay.

The ballsy move followed Kem and previous partner Amber Davies becoming official boyfriend and girlfriend earlier in the week.

After Georgia revealed her decision, Amber's face was a picture but Kem went over to give her a reassuring kiss.

It looked like a fight was about to kick off between Theo and Jonny after the results.

Jonny branded Theo a "gigantic bellend" prompting the pair to square up to each other.

“Sit down, you prick. F***ing bellend mate…you’re a bellend. F***ing dry your tears mate," Theo hit back.

Meanwhile, Georgia confronted Amber as the girls locked horns over Kem.

Georgia said: "I had to pick someone, I've not done anything wrong. Are you just going to try and make me feel uncomfortable the whole time I'm here?"

"We'll see," remarked Amber.

The Daily Star on Sunday reports that extra security has been put on standby in case things end up getting physical.

A source said: "Producers want to make sure everyone in the villa is kept safe. It is understood there will be rows between contestants but a physical fight won’t be tolerated. If things get too heated, security reps will storm in and put a stop to it.”

Love Island 2017 airs Sunday night at 9PM on ITV2.
