Tonight's latest Big Brother eviction took place moments ago but it wasn't the result that got people talking.

It was Joe Quaranta who left in tonight's Big Brother 2017 results, the fifth eviction of the series.

He left to a very sparse crowd with pictures from the outdoor studio showing huge areas of the staging area left empty.

"I don't know what's worse... leaving via a back door eviction or leaving to half a crowd as nobody turned up. #bbuk" one viewer quipped.

"Omg looks like there's only 10 people in the crowd! #BBUK" another reacted on Twitter.

And a third commented: "#bbuk there looks like there is only about 12 people in the crowd?!?!"

One more viewer joked: "Some of the crowd are just cardboard cut outs I think #bbuk"

We did count slightly more than 12 people but the total outside the house did seem to be fewer than 100, which may will include friends and family of the evictees and members of the production team.

However tonight's latest live eviction did air later than usual with the episode starting at 10PM and the result not being announced until gone 11:10PM.

Unfortunately next week's live show will again start at the later time, although host Emma Willis did tease a surprise double eviction.
