After fretting about new guy Theo on last night's show, it turned out he had nothing to worry about.

Now Kem finally knows just who Theo is, the new lad in the villa admitted he was not interested in Amber.

In fact, he told Amber who he had his eye on, revealing that he likes Tyla and Montana but also likes Alex so was in a difficult situation: “Whoever I go for basically at the moment is going to be upsetting someone else.”

And with Amber distracted, Kem seized his moment to spring a surprise.

Kem was seen plotting a plan and got the other boys in the villa on side to help out.

He set the garden up for a big surprise for Amber, sending her a series of romantic text messages recapping their journey in the villa.

It ended with Kem asking Amber to be his official girlfriend and fortunately for him, she said yes.

Elsewhere in tonight's show, Kem had to act as a go between for a rowing Olivia and Chris.

Olivia confided in Kem: He’s not going to get me. Imagine him coming back into my life? In the last couple of years, I’ve mellowed a lot… I just don’t think someone like him will be able to handle me… This is history repeating itself… You can’t make someone get you.”

Kem and Chris then spoke man to man: “You know that she is a very loud character, you’ve accepted it, her lifestyle everything she is about, it’s only going to get bigger and louder when you leave.

"If you don’t accept her and support her with it… it’s making her question herself.

"She wants you to accept her for her. She comes across like this big, loud, explosive character but she’s a lot more insecure and quiet than she puts out and sometimes the smaller comments can upset her a lot.”

Love Island 2017 continues nightly on ITV2.
