Montana Brown is hiding a secret heartache on Love Island 2017.
The viewer favourite has been coping with the death of her best friend, who died suddenly recently.
Her best pal Harry passed away from a sudden heart attack during a squash match, The Sun newspaper reports.
A 'source close to Montana' told the newspaper: “It was a huge shock and loss for Montana - she and Harry were the best of pals, she cried for days after he died.
"But she’s determined not to forget him and he will always have a special place in her heart. She often reminisces about the laughs they shared.”
21-year-old student Montana has become a firm favourite with viewers of Love Island this year, being voted the most popular girl in the villa in last night's show.
Speaking before joining the series, Montana said: "I want to meet someone who will broaden my horizons a little bit and I really want to find love. I think I've been quite unlucky in my past but I'm ready to find someone now.
"I'm not really exposed to people from all over the UK. I don't go to raves that much so I don't really meet anyone from outside Hertfordshire!"
She added: "I don't go to Ibiza or anything like that. I'm only really exposed to the people that I already know in my circles."
Love Island 2017 airs nightly on ITV2.
