The Voice Kids: First look at the battle rounds as the semi-finalists are chosen

Here's a first look at The Voice Kids battle rounds as the competition heats up.

Fresh from his stint on The Voice UK, global music star will.i.am returns to his big red chair alongside pop princess Pixie Lott and McFly frontman Danny Jones on the three-coach panel of The Voice Kids.

Presented by Emma Willis, the new series is open to talented young soloists between the ages of seven and 14.

The spin-off series launched last month with the blind auditions and over the past four weeks the coaches have built up teams of twelve talented singers.

Just like their adult counterparts, the youngsters performed to a live band headed by music director David Tench as they tried to persuade the coaches to hit their buttons.

Now it's onto the battles!

The Voice UK Kids sees three way Battles as the group of acts sing off for one place in the semi-final.

And there are no steals on The Voice Kids – meaning no second chances for the coaches who must pick a winner from each battle.

The final four acts in each team then sing in the semi-final for a spot in the spectacular live finale – with viewers choosing the ultimate winner.

Up for grabs is £30,000 prize towards their musical career and a family trip to Disneyland Paris.
