The Only Way Is Essex star James Lock has claimed that Kem Cetinay could be set to join its cast after he leaves Love Island 2017.
Kem is currently one of the contestants shacked up in the Love Island villa, coupling up on camera in a bid to win £50,000.
But he's already friendly with many of the TOWIE faces through his day job as a hairdresser - and James says that could set him up for a role on the ITVBe show.
'Lockie' told The Sun: "There’s a good chance Kem could join. He’s certainly not my best mate but I do know him and he does know a lot of the TOWIE cast.
"He knows a few of the girls and has cut Pete Wicks and Dan Edgar’s hair before."
An insider added that Kem's popularity on Love Island has put him on the TOWIE producers' radar.
"Nothing has been decided with regards to Kem joining the show but it’s certainly a big possibility," the mole said.
"There’s certainly the option to bring him onto the show if there’s a storyline to warrant it.
"He seems to be a big hit with Love Island viewers and there’s a big cross over between Love Island and TOWIE fans so it makes sense."
Kem himself has spoken about his connections with the Essex gang.
Before joining the ITV2 dating contest, he said: "I've done hair for Spencer Matthews, Calum Best, and the TOWIE boys, Pete Wicks, Arg, the standard guys. I get on well with them."
The Only Way Is Essex has been known to introduce new cast members from other reality shows.
Jon Clark was added to its line-up after appearing on Love Island's first revival series in 2015 - while Megan McKenna joined full-time after her stint on Celebrity Big Brother.
