Former rugby player Ben Cohen MBE is reportedly considering signing up for I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2017 to top up his bank balance after a costly divorce.

Ben's private life became a media sensation after he competed in the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing in 2013, and subsequently split from his wife Abby.

The couple divorced last year, and he is now dating his professional dance partner Kristina Rihanoff - with whom he has a baby daughter.

Now, Ben is reportedly eyeing up I'm A Celebrity as his next career move.

According to The Sun, the 38-year-old previously turned down an offer for the show four years ago - but could now be interested in a hefty paycheque following his legal battle.

"Ben’s name was straight on the list for this year," a source told the newspaper. "He is popular with viewers, as his Strictly stint showed, and appeals to sports fans.

"He’s also a gay icon so he ticks a lot of boxes. It looks like the producers might get their man."

A stint in the jungle would make Ben a serial reality TV star.

In addition to Strictly, he has competed in Channel 4's controversial winter sports contest The Jump.

He won its third series last year, after joining two weeks late as a replacement for a string of injured contestants.

There's still months to go until I'm A Celebrity is back on our screens, but several celebs have already been linked to the new series.

TOWIE star Kate Wright and 'WAG' Rebekah Vardy are among the names rumoured to be involved.
