The wannabe singer auditioned for the show in 2014 but despite initially impressing, was given the boot over her past.
Simone is understood to have won over judges with her cover of The Power of Love by Celine Dion but was removed from the show because of a past conviction that left her in jail.
According to the Daily Star newspaper, Simone spent six months in prison after being found guilty of affray aged 20.
"I'm gutted I'm not through to the live shows," Simone said at the time. "I was told I would have got though but because of previous convictions and because I have been to prison for violence they can't take me.
"I was younger, I made mistakes but it's not who I am now."
28-year-old Simone is an unemployed mum of three from Stockton-on-Tees who joined the BB house today.

Asked why she was doing Big Brother, Simone said: “Everyone who knows me knows, I am up for a laugh and a party”.
Joining Simone on are three other newbies, including reality TV regular Sam Chaloner.
The 24-year-old is a Construction Ground Worker from New Mills, High Peak who has an eye for the ladies.
However Big Brother isn't his first time on TV - in fact its his FIFTH reality show.
He's already appeared on TLC's dating show Undressed, E4's Coach Trip, ITV's dating series Meet The Parents and ITV2's Ibiza Weekender, the same show current housemate Ellie Young has been on.
Big Brother 2017 airs nightly on Channel 5.
