In this evening's latest episode, Tyla and newbie Simon are immediately plunged into the deep end, with their arrival in the villa sparking a surprise recoupling, and putting them in charge.
Yesterday in the villa, in scenes to be shown in tonight's show, a text arrived placing all the power in Tyla and Simon’s hands.
The text read: “Islanders, tonight there will be a recoupling in which Tyla and Simon will pick first.
"They cannot couple up with one another.
"Tyla, Simon and whichever two Islanders they couple up with will be safe at the next dumping. #freepass.”
Tyla in particular struggled with her decision so Love Island bosses stepped in to help.
Tyla was given the opportunity to date three of the island boys, getting a text which read: “Tyla, this afternoon you will have the chance to spend quality time with three of the boys. Go and ask out the first person you would like to date. #trybeforeyoubuy”
Having spent the afternoon getting better acquainted with her three choices, the burden of the recoupling was starting to affect her.
Getting tearful with Amber in the bedroom, she confessed: “I just feel bad because I don’t know who I’m going to pick. I just feel like if I pick someone I like, I’m going to upset someone, 100%. The thought of that makes me feel physically sick.”
Amber urged her to forget about the other islanders, and focus on herself: “Just breath, and what you need to remember is you’re here for yourself, you’re not here for anybody else.”
Is Tyla about to cause an almighty upset or will she play it safe?
Love Island 2017 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
