Love Island 2017: Amber and Kem

Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay's time as a Love Island 2017 couple may be about to come to an abrupt end.

It follows newbies Tyla Carr and Simon Searles entering the villa yesterday, prompting Kem to recognise that his and Amber's relationship was set to be tested.

He admitted: "He’s exactly her type, she’s my type. They’ve thrown in a barber in as well but I’m not being funny, if you’re going to throw a barber in you’ve got to throw someone in with better scissor work. Come on, test me!”

And it looked as though Tyla was indeed testing Kem’s resolve, as he confessed: “She seems proper nice as well, I didn’t want to say it because Amber was watching like a hawk. But she seems proper cute, really cute. Really, really nice.

"I think she’s going to be a really good girl in here. I would like to be friends with her and that, but it’s hard.”

Elaborating further on Tyla, while at the same time exposing the cracks in his relationship with Amber, Kem revealed: “The way Tyla came in and she was a little bit cute and a little bit ditzy and didn’t take herself too seriously reminded me of how I am.

"And it really hit home with me yesterday that I haven’t been the Kem that I know I am and I’ve just been holding back and feeling like I have to just say everything to keep Amber happy all the time and it’s not healthy.”

Speaking one on one to Dom about his predicament with Amber, Kem confessed: “Mate all she does is put me down, I feel like I’m treading on eggshells. A minute after the girl walked in that looks like my type, she came over and was like ‘I’m falling in love with you.’ There and then. I was buzzing about it.

"When I first met Amber we were all giggly and funny. I feel like everything I do now I can’t be myself. I constantly can’t be myself. I feel like the real Kem isn’t here anymore. I think she’s amazing but sometimes you have to think about personality and I think ‘is she going to change, that’s the way she is’, and I’m not being myself.

"She’s just pushing me away by being like this. Constantly.”
