Love Island: Camilla in challenge

Love Island continued its ratings success on ITV2 last night with its latest episode.

Sunday's showing of the hit reality series had 1.5 million viewers, a joint series high and up 100,000 on last Sunday.


Across its second week of six episodes, Love Island has averaged 1.4 million viewers to date, well up on last year's series.

Straight after, Love Island's new spin-off show After Sun hosted by Caroline Flack interested over 600,000 viewers between 10PM and 11PM, up 100,000 on last week's opening episode.

Big Brother's latest highlights had 900,000 viewers against Love Island, down 200,000 on last Sunday's showing and the fifth consecutive day numbers have been below a million viewers.

Both BB and Love Island went head to head in the 9PM hour against a trio of dramas. It was BBC One who won the slot with the start of Poldark's third series enjoying 4.6 million, although this was down 900,000 viewers on last weekend.

On ITV, new drama The Loch also dropped with 3.8 million viewers for episode two compared to 5 million last week, while on Channel 4, US series The Handmaid's Tale continued with a million viewers.

Elsewhere, the most watched show of the night was Antiques Roadshow which had 4.7 million viewers on BBC One to Countryfile's 4.5 million. On BBC Two, Theresa v Boris: How May Became PM topped the evening with 1.1 million viewers.
