Big Brother's latest episode has been given a string of scathing reviews by even its biggest fans.

Tonight's episode saw a lot of drama as things kicked off between the housemates and we got three celebrity guests.

Former CBB housemates Marnie Simpson, Gemma Collins and Nicola McLean have joined the house for a new task but fans haven't been impressed by any of it.

From the 'poor' housemates to Big Brother's key rule banning outside contact going flying out the window, fans had plenty to complain about.

@BB_Superfan stated: "I think we can all agree that that entire episode of @bbuk was an insult to every single viewer. I can't wait for this task to pass. #bbuk"

@BigBrotherFocus added: "Its incredibly worrying to think that producers planned this and thought it was an amazing idea. We need a revamp. #BBUK"

And @BBSpy posted: "Can you believe we've gone from one of C5's best 'civilian' series to this mess in the space of a year? #BBUK"

Former Big Brother winner Luke Anderson‏ also took aim at the current series, saying: "Wish we could etch a sketch shake this #bbuk and restart with a) real people and b) no contact with outside world 🌎"

One of his followers replied: "This is the first year that I feel everyone is fake. I miss real BB! And I'm insulted BB think we haven't noticed."

And another fan @mirak_eel concluded: "This garbage is so far removed from Big Brother. Been a fan since day one.. I've never been as disillusioned as I am now #bbuk"

The complaints come after Big Brother hit a series low rating of just 800,000 viewers on Wednesday night.
