Pixie Lott says The Voice is "completely different" to her time on X Factor

Pixie Lott says The Voice is very different to The X Factor after appearing on both.

Pixie was a guest judge on The X Factor back in 2010 alongside Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole.

Now she's taking up a seat on The Voice UK's Kids spin-off, sitting in the famous spinning red chairs alongside and McFly's Danny Jones.

Speaking about her time on The X Factor, Pixie said: "I was with Simon, Cheryl and Louis then. I was 18 or 19, I was young. I really enjoyed that but it was completely different."

She said of The Voice Kids in an interview with the Daily Mirror: "It’s a brand new show and the first time it’s just kids.

"They bring so much energy, passion and talent. Even if I wasn’t on it, I’d love this show."

Although The Voice Kids doesn't start until the weekend, the show has already come under criticism for allowing children as young as seven to compete in the singing contest.

Pixie said: "A lot of them are fearless, but we had so much time to talk and hug.

"I’ve been through loads of auditions and not got through. I did a similar thing, Ed Sheeran was on as well. We both didn’t get through."

Pixie insisted she would definitely audition for the show herself at their age, adding: "I knew from such a young age it was what I wanted – I think that’s what these kids feel too."

The Voice Kids begins on Saturday, June 10 at 7:45PM on ITV.
