Big Brother 2017: Emma Willis 'didn't know' reality stars would be in the house

Emma Willis has admitted she didn't know reality stars would be on this year's line up.

Monday night's live launch saw 16 housemates enter the new British themed house and a number were familiar faces.

They include Ex On The Beach star Kayleigh Morris and Dreamboys' stripper Lotan Carter.

More housemates are Chanelle McCleary, another Ex On the Beach star and model, and the "wild and independent" Arthur Fulford, who has appeared on reality shows Life is Toff and The F***ing Fulfords.

Self-confessed drama queen Ellie Young joins Big Brother fresh from ITV2's Ibiza Weekender while Kieran Lee is the THIRD former Ex On The Beach cast member on Big Brother this year.

Chatting about the cast, host Emma said: I didn’t even know they were on Ex On The Beach.

“But I guess it will make for a great rest of the show."

However she defended the "fantastic" casting in a chat with the Daily Mail, saying that despite being reality telly regulars they were a "true reflection of society in Britain."

“They’re all friends in the first two days, but within a week they’ll all be fighting!" Emma said “The cast are fantastic. They really are a true reflection of society in Britain.”

Big Brother 2017 continues nightly on Channel 5 at 10PM.
