Jonny Mitchell joined the Love Island 2017 villa yesterday and made quite the impact.
Entering the show alongside fellow new guy Chris Hughes, Jonny wasted no time in making Amber the object of his affections.
But with a budding romance developing between Kem and Amber, Jonny was cautious to upset the boys in his bid to find love.
He told Amber: “As I told you last night, you are obviously my type but I didn’t realise I was sitting next to Kem when I said it. It was a bit awkward.
"But I know that you two have got something going on. I think it’s quite early doors for me anyway, but I think he’s quite a nice geezer. I’m not here to make trouble, if everyone’s consensually happy.”
At first an unimpressed Amber told the Beach Hut: “Straightaway Jonny said I was his type. I think it’s because he gravitates towards brunettes.
I just don’t think he’s got much game. He’s a nice boy and he doesn’t want to tread on anyone’s toes.”
But she later told Jonny: “I think what you need to remember though is that it’s day four, it’s not week four.
"I want to reassure you my basket’s open, do you know what I mean? It’s an open game right now.”
As for Kem, his feelings for Amber intensified, telling Sam: “Mate I ain’t gonna lie. I think I’m melting bad. Last night when I started kissing her I was getting goosebumps. It was just unreal. I waited for it for so long.
"Then finally. It is just so weird in here, it is just so intense. You can just go like that with someone. I was lying in bed thinking ‘I can’t wait to go and talk to her.’ Is that normal?”
But Kem wasn't feeling threatened by Jonnny: “He’s not as good looking as me, simple as that. I’ve got better chat, I’ve got better game, I’m a better looking geezer.”
He added: “At the end of the day they’re not Kem. They’re not. They might be half decent looking but have they got the chat? Are they sensitive? So I don’t think they’ve got enough in their locker to threaten me in any way.”
Ahead of the latest recoupling, Chloe Crowhurst stirred the pot and encouraged Jonny to make a move on Amber.
"If you’re interested and you do like her then you’ve got to show it to her. Don’t worry about treading on people’s feet, because if she likes you more than she likes him that’s not your fault," he said.
Love Island 2017 continues tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
