Love Island 2017's new guy Chris Hughes made an impression in the villa yesterday, making a move on THREE girls.
In scenes to be shown in tonight's show, Chris set about a charm offensive on Love Island ladies Chloe Crowhurst, Camilla Thurlow and Montana Brown.
At first it appeared Camilla was his primary pursuit, as he revealed to the Beach Hut: “Camilla caught my eye straightaway. She seems really sweet.”
Camilla however was somewhat sceptical: “Speaking to Chris, he’s very nice. It’s obviously really nice. I just want to get to know Chris before I know whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing, I don’t know.”
And she had every right to be, as Chris had also spotted a glint in Montana’s eye: “I think Montana’s all over me to be honest, she’s been grafting a bit. But I can’t blame her can I? She’s got good banter, so we get on pretty well.”
But in fact, Montana was less than impressed with Chris’ cocky attitude: “Who says ‘I’m a 9.5 out of ten?’ Even if you do think you’re a 10 out of 10 you don’t say 9.5 do you? You go for a modest 7. Chris is really nice but he says these one liner comments which I’m like ‘ugh, shut up.”
So instead, Chris went back to wooing Camilla.
He told the Beach Hut: “I’m going to do a bit of grafting today with Camilla. So it’s going to be like ‘try and capture Camilla day’ today but we’ll see how that goes. I just think she’s really sweet. That’s the kind of girl I like to be honest. She’s laid back but she’s confident in herself. I think that’s where I am still.”
But soon, while sunbathing in the garden, Chris seized his moment with Chloe and struck up a rapid flirtation.
Having tested the waters with Montana, Camilla and Chloe, Chris was holding his cards close to his chest, saying: “Yeah, I’m just dipping my feet with all the girls at the moment and seeing what’s going on, so my options are really open. Who knows what’s going to happen?”
Meanwhile, Chris’ playboy antics weren’t going unnoticed by Montana, who informed the Beach Hut: “I think he’s just keeping his options open. One minute he fancies Camilla, one minute I’m his type, one minute Chloe’s his type.
"He’s literally planting seeds in every girl’s head. He thinks he’s Will Smith or something. Chris doesn’t seem very loyal. He’s come in and I don’t know if it’s an act or a game plan, just peacocking around.”
Having truly made his mark amongst the female islanders, Chris ended the evening locking lips with one of this three targets – but is love finally beckoning for Montana, Camilla or Chloe?
Love Island 2017 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
