Big Brother is planning at least two surprise mid-week evictions, it's been revealed.

Channel 5 scheduling details reveal that one housemate will get the axe during a special live show next Thursday, June 22.

And further scheduling has shown a second Thursday eviction penned in for the next Thursday on June 29.

Both nights will run the same as current Friday evictions, with a live show from 9PM until 10:35PM, followed by Bit On The Side and then live streaming from the house.

It's not entirely clear why the move has been made just yet, but BBSpy state evictions will return to their traditional Friday night slot from July.

The website points out that planning restrictions limit the use of mid-week live shows due to nearby residents, with only 14 permitted each year for all of the Big Brother and two Celebrity series.

Meanwhile, Bit On The Side's Rylan Clark-Neal has admitted he's no idea how long the current series of BBUK will run for.

Chatting in a live Facebook Q and A, he couldn't confirm Emma Willis' previous comments about the show being on for 'eight or nine weeks'.

Emma told ITV's This Morning: "We're on for eight or nine weeks [with Big Brother] then we have Celebrity Big Brother on afterwards for four weeks."

But Rylan did reveal that BBUK would be going quickly into Celebrity Big Brother without much of a break.

For now, the nightly highlight shows continue at 10PM on Channel 5.
