Love Island's Kem Cetinay and Chloe Crowhurst have some secret history revealed in tonight's opening show.

The girls of Love Island 2017 descended upon the villa at the weekend and it wasn’t long before Caroline Flack arrived to welcome them and get their Summer of Love underway.

With five of the girls in line ready and waiting for the man of their dreams to arrive, one by one each of the five boys walked in and the coupling up began.

But Essex girl Chloe Crowhurst got more than she bargained for during the coupling up, when she told the girls she had met Kem before:

With Kem walking to over to the ladies, Chloe uttered to the girls: “Oh my God! I know him.”

She later elaborated to Caroline: “I dated his best mate. But to be fair, it wasn’t really dating. It was a bit of dinner, that was it really. Put the past in the past.”

Kem also spilled the beans on his connection to Chloe in the Beach Hut: “I already know her briefly. She slept with one of my best mates, my closest mate. He probably wouldn’t care, I know it wasn’t anything serious.”

With the five couples finally partnered and ready to get to know one another, Caroline told them: “The choices you’ve made could decide how long you stay in the villa. You’ll be spending time together, doing challenges together, living together and even sharing a bed together.”

But just when they thought the difficult decisions were over, Caroline dropped the first bombshell of the series. Is all really as it seems?

Love Island airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
