Channel 5 has revealed a first look at some of this year's Big Brother 2017 housemates in a new video.

For only the second time in BBUK history, show bosses have unveiled some of this year's Big Brother UK cast ahead of launch night.

Not everyone has been revealed (yet) but six people - including two pairs - were officially confirmed by Channel 5.

Now a video with more about them has been posted online.

In the short clip we meet the 'punchline queen' who promises so much fun while another who wants to represent the 'hot feisty women from Britain'.

The Big Brother housemate line up so far includes Ex On The Beach star Kayleigh Morris and Dreamboys' stripper Lotan Carter.

Joining them will be sisters Hannah and Deborah Agboola and husband and wife duo Imran and Sukhvinder Javeed.

However a launch night twist might not seen them actually enter the house.

It's been claimed that an election themed twist to this year's opening night will see prospective housemates pitch themselves to fans before viewers vote for their favourites to decide who takes part in the series.

A source said: "Like a real-life politician the hopeful housemates will have to convince the public to vote for them with a convincing speech.

“It will all be filmed live so they will be under pressure not to fluff up their speeches. It will be an exciting twist to the opening night shenanigans.”

A Channel 5 spokesperson wasn't giving much away, teasing: “Viewers will have to tune in next week to find out more."

Channel 5 previously promised that the new series will be "the ultimate social experiment" when it launches next month.

Describing Big Brother 18 as a "must-watch culture clash of modern Britain," the channel teased: "At a time of political upheaval and tough questions about unity in the UK, Big Brother brings you an alternative look at Britain."

Emma Willis will host the LIVE Big Brother launch on Monday night, June 5, from 8:30PM.
