Britain's Got Talent 2017 judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon aren't too pleased that they didn't get a grand entrance for last night's first live semi-final.

In previous years, the ITV talent contest's live shows would begin with the judges emerging on stage, and Ant and Dec introducing them one at a time.

However, this year there's a new studio set, and it has brought with it some tweaks to the production.

Last night saw the judges welcomed two at a time as they walked through the audience to their desk.

This left Amanda and Alesha Dixon upset that they didn't get to properly show off their glamorous outfits.

Simon Cowell revealed how they felt on Britain's Got More Talent. "Amanda and Alesha have complained because they want to walk on from the back of the set," he told the ITV2 spin-off show.

Amanda in particular wasn't happy, grumbling: "Yes! I thought it was a rubbish start coming down the stairs!"

Fortunately for her, it seems Simon is willing to go back to the old style entrance.

The boss man added: "If they want it, 100%."

This year bosses have built a new set after BGT was forced to move from Fountain Studios to Elstree Studios.

The new design has a more theatre-like feel, with the audience arranged in a circular formation around the judges' desk.

Amanda's complaint came after she pledged to risk the wrath of TV regulators by wearing "flattering, feminine" dresses for the BGT semis.

"Will people be complaining to Ofcom? I hope so, I really do," she joked. "I haven’t done my job if they aren’t!"

Britain's Got Talent continues throughout this week at 7.30pm on ITV.
