An Irish bar man took on Britain's Got Talent 2017 tonight with a unique dance routine.

It was the last round of auditions tonight and we met the final set of contestants hoping to make the live shows.

With all the golden buzzers used up, those left to audition had to win over the majority of the panel to make it through to the live semi-finals next week.

And David Geaney had a tough time convincing all of the judges about his act.

David is a 22 year-old barman and student from Ireland who combined his two passions – dance and technology - to make for a very unique audition.

"In Ireland there's not really much of an opportunity to put your talent on a big stage, and Britain's Got Talent is one of the biggest talent shows in the world," he said on the show.

David brought a unique mix of dance and technology to the stage but the judges weren't all convinced.

While Alesha Dixon was left "in awe", Simon Cowell was more critical.

He said to boos from the crowd: "I think the idea is better than the execution. The music wasn't great.. I'm only trying to be helpful, I love the idea."

However, Simon eventually joined the other judges in saying yes to send David through to the next round.

Other acts in tonight's final auditions included all female dance crew Code 3, entertainer Audley Buckle, magician Neil Henry and singer Sue Moretta.

We also met funny duo Lords Of Strut plus the Empire Dance Crew.

Straight after the auditions will see the semi-finalists revealed as the judges pick the top 40 acts for the live shows alongside the five golden buzzer contestants.

Britain's Got Talent 2017 is back on Saturday, May 27 at 8PM on ITV.

Plus don't forget More Talent straight after on ITV2 from 9:20PM.

Meanwhile, the Britain's Got Talent 2017 live shows kick off on Monday and air throughout the week before the grand final on Sunday,
