Britain's Got Talent 2017 was the most watched show this week with over 9 million viewers.

The sixth and penultimate instalment of this year's Britain's Got Talent auditions posted an average audience of 9.1 million last night.


It was up over a million on last weekend's show, which clashed with Eurovision, and is the joint second most watched episode of the series to date.

A peak audience of more than 10.3 million viewers tuned in to the second to last round of auditions in front of judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and of course Simon Cowell.

BGT returns next Saturday night for its final auditions and semi-finalists reveal before the live shows begin on Monday night, airing across the week as usual.

Earlier on ITV, Take Me Out climbed slightly, rising 100,000 viewers week-on-week to 3 million while after BGT, new series The Keith and Paddy Picture Show stayed steady with 3 million viewers for its third instalment.

Over on BBC One and Doctor Who climbed 600,000 viewers from last week's 3.6 million to 4.2 million last night. Pointless Celebrities was similarly up, interesting 4.5 million viewers from 3.6 million last week, the BBC's most watched programme of the night.

Later on, Who Dares Wins had 2.4 million viewers while Casualty returned after its week off with 3.9 million.
