This year's Love Island 2017 contestants face their first test before the show even begins.

Ahead of the new series starting this summer, potential Islanders are being trialled out in the villa to determine who will make the final cast.

Those that impress producers will make the cut and join the line up when Love Island series 3 launches.

And after last year's hit run, contestants will need to impress.

“The trial will be seriously debauched," a source explained. “The contestants know misbehaving is the way to get on the show – but that leads to all sorts."

They told The Sun newspaper: “Last year contestants romped on TV and producers were forced to provide the villa with hundreds of extra condoms.

“This year’s crop of hopefuls will have a lot to live up to.”

As for the identity of this year's contestants, no names are official yet but one person has claimed to have quit already.

Lisa Appleton’s daughter took to Facebook to claim she was invited to take part but turned down the invite earlier this month.

She wrote: “Well as you all know, I could of been on Love Island this year, everyone keeps asking me what’s going on… so I’m putting it out there… it was a hard choice to make, but due to a potential relationship in my life I decided to turn it down a few weeks ago.”

Sophia added: “However I wish all the best for the luck people that get to compete, find love and win the show, £50,000 and in return hopefully a successful life.”

The new series of Love Island will air on ITV2 later this summer.
