The Love Island 2017 start date has been confirmed with the show back next month.

If you've been wondering when Love Island starts on ITV2 this year, then your wait is over.

Love Island 2017 start date: Season 3 air date confirmed

ITV has today confirmed the air date for Series 3 of Love Island as Monday, June 5 at 9PM.

As usual, the show will continue nightly week-nights, with a recap show on Saturday evenings.

And this year will also see a special live Sunday spin-off show called Aftersun.

As well as introducing this year’s fresh batch of Love Islanders, host Caroline Flack will front the brand new weekly live studio show called Aftersun in the UK that will keep Love Island on everyone’s lips throughout the summer.

Airing Sunday nights, with a panel of different celebrity guests each week, the show will offer viewers first reaction to the goings on in the villa, exclusive interviews with dumped islanders, and all the gossip from the sauciest and sexiest series to date.

As for the show itself, the Love Island 2017 cast and villa have yet to be revealed.

But what we do know is that the new Love Island contestants should be ready for the unexpected.

They need to be braced for a bombshell whenever Caroline drops in as she will be appearing in the villa throughout the series to deliver shock announcements and surprise twists that are guaranteed to test relationships in the islanders’ passion-fuelled paradise to the max.

Series 3 of Love Island is rumoured to be the longest yet at around 7-8 weeks long, although the exact final date is a long way off being confirmed.

Love Island airs on ITV2.
