Britain's Got Talent contestant John Parnell - aka Hoop Guy - is set to release his 'hit' song.

It was the latest round of auditions on Saturday and we met another batch of hopeful acts wanting to make the live shows.

One of the contestants wanting yeses from the judges was so-called Lord of the rings, John Parnell.

He took to the stage with his hula hoops and a very catchy tune to show the Judges just why he’s better known as the Hoop Guy.

But, when Simon and Alesha Dixon buzzed, John invited them to join him to show off their skills.

And David was on hand to offer Simon a helping hand up to the stage.

John ended up getting four yeses through to the next round with Simon encouraging Alesha to perform John's song in the live shows.

Whether or not that happens remains to be seen, but John has announce plans to release the song as he revealed the real performer behind the vocals is X Factor Bulgaria runner-up Theodora Tsoncheva.

"I have recorded a newer version of the song that is going to be available very soon," John told DigitalSpy. "On Saturday, you didn't hear the song in full because it had to be edited down for the show. It's actually a love song with three verses.

"It's about a girl who is walking through the park one day when she sees a guy hooping. Instantly, she falls for him but she's a little shy and doesn't know whether to talk to him. In the end, they get together and start hooping with one another."

Britain's Got Talent 2017 continues this Saturday night at 8PM on ITV.
