Love Island has welcomed its first ever baby this month.

2015 couple Cally Jane Beech and Luis Morrison announced last year they were expecting a little one and the weekend saw the couple welcome a healthy baby girl.

Although it took a lot of effort, with Cally spending 32 hours in labour before her daughter was delivered by an emergency C-section.

"Thank you for all your lovely tweets! The most amazing but frightening experience ever....she's here 07/05/2017" Cally tweeted today.

Luis tweeted: "Baby morrison is here ❤️ Mum and baby are fit and well! 👶🏽"

Cally and Luis got together in the villa back in 2015 when the show hit ITV2 screens for the first time.

They only ever coupled up with one another and made it all the way to the final week.

Cally and Luis first revealed news of their baby on Twitter last October, using the hashtag Jamal to reference the baby doll they looked after as part of a task on Love Island.

Cally tweeted: "I have the best news to tell you all. Me and my amazing man @luismorrison39 are expecting a addition to our lives in 2017#loveisland #jamal."

Luis added: "Got some unbelievable news that I thought I'd share with you all! I'm excited to announce that Me & @MissCallyJane are having a baby #jamal."

Cally and Luis had in fact dated before coming face to face on Love Island, a move that may have originally been designed to stir up tension and cause major drama.

But after two years together it seems that the show only brought them closer.
