The Britain's Got Talent 2017 live shows start date may have been revealed.

Although the date of this year's live semi-final shows hasn't been officially confirmed by ITV just yet, the air date may have slipped out.

In a chat on ITV's This Morning, Alesha Dixon's golden buzzer act Just Us spoke about their plans for the live shows having already secured their spot on the line up.

And during the interview, it was revealed that the live semi-finals would start on Monday, May 29.

Based on previous years, the semi-finals will air each night across the week with the final either on Saturday June 3 or Sunday June 4.

Meanwhile, the Britain's Got Talent 2017 live shows could see a brand new golden buzzer twist.

Once again for this year's series, all four judges and Ant & Dec have the opportunity to give the act they think has that extra special something an automatic place in the live semi-finals with the use of the special Golden Buzzer.

Each of the five can hit the golden buzzer once during the auditions to send one act straight through to the live shows.

But now rumour has it that show bosses are considering bringing the golden buzzer to the semi-finals as well.

It would mean the judges and Ant and Dec being able to hit the golden buzzer once more to send an act through to the live final.

The viewers would then vote as usual for the remaining acts, with the most popular contestant also making it into the grand final.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “The golden buzzer is one of the favourite elements in the audition shows.

“The atmosphere when it is pressed is incredible. This will give the judges and Ant and Dec the chance to guarantee their favourite acts get a spot in the final.”

The insider added: “Producers believe it would make the five, live semis even more exciting.”

But for now, nothing is confirmed for the live shows with the auditions instead continuing on Saturday nights on ITV.
