The Big Brother 2017 house has had more than a lick of paint for the new series this summer.

The new house is almost ready for a new batch of housemates for the Channel 5 show, which will air its eighteenth series from next month.

The house has been given a brand new design and makeover since the last Celebrity series in January, which was won by Coleen Nolan

Fixtures and fittings will be added over the next few weeks ahead of the finishing touches just ahead of the series' launch.

Back in March, leaked pictures uploaded to Flickr showed how workers had stripped the house bare following the end of Celebrity Big Brother.

Everything from the bedroom to the pool had been pulled down as part of the major revamp.

Bit On the Side's Rylan Clark-Neal previously cryptically let slip of the new look house: “There is something in the house I have been wanting for years, and it’s in there!”

Discussing the major revamp to the house, Rylan continued: “I was there not long ago and the house is SO different. When we did the second house last year, that was a massive change for us, but I’m totally just disregarding that for the moment because what we’ve done in the main house is absolutely unbelievable. It’s unreal.

“I got lost looking at it, and I go into that house every single day, I walk around the camera runs and look at the housemates...

"But when I was looking at the plans, I couldn’t even work out why that was there or here."

Auditions for Big Brother 2017 took place earlier this year, inviting only duos to apply in a first for the show.

In an interview with The Huffington Post, Rylan refused to divulge any details on this year's 'pairs' twist.

Dismantled camera run

Rylan only said: “I can say that we were looking for pairs but I can’t say any more than that.

"Whether that means there’s only going to be pairs, or there’s going to be singles, I’ve got no idea. I mean I have, but I’m not telling you.”

Big Brother will launch on Channel 5 this summer.
