James 'Arg' Argent is set to continue his break from The Only Way Is Essex.
The original cast member hasn't been on the series since last year and won't be back for the current series.
It's after he took an 'extended break' to work on his 'health and well being'.
A source told The Sun newspaper today: “Arg loves Towie and was hoping he would make a cameo in the final few episodes of the series.
“But bosses believe after a lengthy stint in a rehab, being rushed back into the fold would not be in the best interests of Arg and other cast members."
Meanwhile a spokesperson for TOWIE said: "We are pleased that James is home and that he's made such positive progress. However, we have mutually agreed that he should take some further time before he returns to TOWIE fully."
Meanwhile, Love Island's Cara De La Hoyde is being tipped to join the ITVBe show full time following a couple of recent guest appearances.
It comes after her split from Nathan Massey, who has also been popping up on the show.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Cara is expected to sign on the dotted line – she has got lots to say and Towie bosses know that fans are really interested in her relationship with Nathan and their split.
“They know how popular Cara is because of her huge social media following and there will be lots of mileage in her as a full-time cast member.”
Cara's introduction could follow Kate Wright's exit.
She's announced an extended break from the show after the current series ends.
TOWIE airs Sunday and Wednesday nights on ITVBe at 10PM.
