Love Island's Nathan Massey speaks out on his split from Cara De La Hoyde in tonight's TOWIE.
This evening's episode of The Only Way Is Essex on ITVBe Nathan reappear on the show to finally speak about his recent split with Cara.
He tells pal Tommy Mallet: "It's completely over now. Sadly. We were just under each other's feet too much. The littleist thing would spark a massive argument. I just thought to myself, 'where's this going.'
"I'm not saying it's her, I'm not saying it's me. It's just brought me down a lot. My friends have seen it, and I think she's the same. It's sad. But I don't resent her."
He adds: "I hope she doesn't resent me for anything. I just want a relationship like you two (Tommy and Georgia). That would be nice."
The winners of ITV2's Love Island last summer seemed to have a super strong relationship, but rumours last month were that they may be about to go their separate ways.
And earlier last week that speculation was seemingly proved true, with the pair deciding to call time on their relationship.
Nathan confirmed the split on Instagram, telling his followers: "The worst feeling in the world is when you know that you both love each other, but still you can’t be together ! Me and Cara have split, we’ve had the summer of our lives together, but sadly come to a end, I wish her the best for the future 💔”
While it's over for the winners, other couples from last year's show remain together.
They include Kady and Scott as well as the recently engaged Olivia and Alex.
The Only Way Is Essex is on ITVBe on Wednesday 19th April at 10pm; Love Island returns to ITV2 this Summer.
