Jonny Awsum is hoping to be the first comedian to win Britain's Got Talent this year.

As yet comedy is one of the few genres that have yet to triumph on BGT over more than 10 series.

But could Jonny Awsum – a 39 year old comedian from Croydon - change that?

Well in his audition on Saturday, he brought in the big guns!

Jonny Awsum wasn't afraid to rope in Ant & Dec as he took his chance to perform his comedy musical act in front of a big audience!

Ant and Dec seemed to be enjoyed themselves and fortunately for Jonny the judges also had a good time.

David Walliams praised the "brilliantly inventive routine" while Amanda Holden loved the "full scale show", adding: "It was absolutely brilliant."

Simon Cowell said: "It was so smart, it really works for you because it makes you stand out.

"I like you a lot."

Jonny left the stage with four yeses from the judges, seeing him through to the next round.

But can he make the live shows later this year? Time will tell...

Also on this weekend's show were 8-year-old magician Issy Simpson, singer Reuben Gray and dancers Just Us.

Britain's Got Talent 2017 is back Saturday night at 8PM on ITV with More Talent straight after on ITV2 from 9:20PM.
