Caprice Bourret has revealed she was forced to leave The Jump after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.
The model left the Channel 4 series earlier this year half-way through filming for unknown medical reasons.
A spokesperson said at the time: "Caprice has actually withdrawn from the competition completely due to illness."
Now Caprice has told how she's undergone life-saving surgery after doctors discovered a tumour on her brain.
Caprice said: “I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. I found out while I was competing in the show and boy, was it more horrific than any of the challenges.”
In an interview with the latest issue of HELLO magazine (via The Sun), Caprice credited The Jump with saving her life after it was one of the show's producers who first spotted the symptoms.
“The Jump saved my life," declared Caprice. “I had headaches that were not going away and my vision was beginning to act up so the show’s production insisted I see their doctor.”
And she candidly confessed: “My first thought was for my two little boys. I’m their rock and keep my family together. It was the scariest moment I’d ever experienced.”
