The former Miss Great Britain appeared in last year's series but didn't exactly have the easiest of times.
Poor Zara struggled with dates and then ended up losing her Miss GB crown after finally getting cosy with one of her fellow islanders.
But Zara has no regrets about appearing and has shared her tips for this year's cast.
"The new contestants should just be themselves, if they want to go in there and find a relationship, great," she said.
However, Zara warned: "But don't think you are going to meet anyone because you really might not.
"Then again, you might find the love of your life - go in with an open mind, and just have fun."
Speaking of her own experience, Zara explained: "I mean I would have thought I would have met someone, and at least have had a successful date. But I didn't!"
She told The Sun newspaper: "The new series is coming out soon, so I am really, really excited about that.
"It will be very strange watching from the TV side and not in there.
"To think I went in there a year ago, in three weeks, is crazy."
While Zara didn't find Mr Right on Love Island, a number of couples from last year remain together.
They include Kady and Scott as well as the recently engaged Olivia and Alex.
Love Island continues nightly on ITV2.
