The Voice UK 2017 winner Mo Adeniran shifted just under 8,000 copies of his debut single.

His cover of Unsteady by The X Ambassadors charted at Number 78 in the Official Chart this week.

It's the worst performing debut of any winner from The Voice, although it's understood the track is not being treated as an 'official' winner's single.

On sales alone, Mo actually charted at Number 19 but streaming figures saw his final chart position plummet against the likes of Ed Sheeran.

The week after they won, Series 1 champ Leanne Mitchell's Run To You was at Number 45, in 2013 Andrea Begley managed Number 30 with My Immortal while 2014 winner Jermain Jackman got to Number 75 with And I Am Telling You.

In 2015, Stevie McCrorie had the most success yet with his cover of Lost Stars officially charting at Number 6 while last year Kevin Simm made it to Number 24.

Kevin sold 24,300 copies of his single while Stevie shifted 40,000 for his debut track, compared to Mo's tally of 8,000.

As we mentioned above, this year the 'winner's single' isn't being treated officially as such with Mo set to release a debut 'winner's EP' instead later this month.

The mini album is set to be published alongside a TV special on Sunday night, April 16 on ITV, which will follow his journey on The Voice UK and recording of the EP.
