Ricky Wilson has said he's up for a return to The Voice UK in 2018.

The Kaiser Chiefs' frontman was a coach on the show when it was on BBC One for three years.

And chatting on ITV's Good Morning Britain today, Ricky declared: "Oh God if they came knocking I'd do it again."

"It was the best time I’ve ever had," he said of his time on the show and reminded viewers: "I won it twice in a row, don’t forget that folks."

Speaking earlier in the year, Ricky also revealed he'd love to return alongside Sir Tom Jones who was dropped for the last series on the BBC.

"I enjoyed sitting next to Tom, he inspired me to make more records," Ricky said today. “He’s the biggest scrapper around, he’s always fighting to stay at the top of his game," Ricky said.

Ricky's comments follow rumours that new coach Gavin Rossdale could be dropped from The Voice UK after his acts failed to make this year's final.

The Bush frontman suffered a disastrous end to his first series on the talent show during the semi-final after losing all his acts.

The Daily Star suggests that Gavin's place on the show may be in jeopardy over his lack of public support.

"Gavin was always worried he might not get the best singers as he was the least famous coach," a source commented.

"If ITV have any sense they will get someone more well known in next year."

However, an ITV insider hit back ahead of last weekend's show, saying: "Bosses are happy with the coaching line-up and are focussed on the final."

While The Voice UK will definitely be back in 2018 there hasn't yet been any official word on if this year's coaches will return.
