Channel 4 confirmed last year that The Island would be back for series 4 in 2017, with host Bear saying: "There will be another series, which is fantastic. It's amazing, it's inspiring - and total respect to what the contestants go through."
What time is The Island 2017 on tonight?
The Island with Bear Grylls started last month on Sunday night but new episodes now air Monday evenings.
Episode four will air the this evening - Monday, May 8 at 9PM - the fourth of six episodes.
The Island with Bear Grylls cast
It has been revealed that The Islands with Bear Grylls' cast for season 4 will this year feature a generation divide.
This year's 16 castaways will be split in to two groups - the young and the old, and made up of all genders.
On one island, eight castaways aged between 18-30, and on the neighbouring island a group of 8 much older castaways. Neither group knows the other is there, but will they find each other?
An 18-year-old student, a detective constable and a hard working 66-year-old businessman are amongst the 16 Islanders, as well as camera operators and doctors in both groups.
However after the first week, one cast member has already quit.
It's the latest experiment in the series. The Island first hit our screens in 2014, with fourteen men left to fend for themselves without modern luxuries.
The second run then saw men and women taking on the challenge, but living separately on different islands.
Last year's third series was the first to feature a mix of genders together, although the males and females initially arrived on opposite sides of the same island, without knowing the other group was there.
A celebrity version of the show was also launched last year, in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.
