The Voice UK semi-finalist Jamie Miller nailed his performance in tonight's semi-final.

This evening was the penultimate round of the competition as eight contestants competed for four spots in next week's final.

Jamie, who last year made it as far as the six chair challenge at bootcamp on The X Factor, is one of the favourites but it'll be the public who ultimately decide his fate tonight.

Before the vote opens, he performed Stitches by Shawn Mendes and had something extra special planned for the performance.

Jamie teased before the show: "I think my favourite thing about the song I'm singing this week is people probably wouldn't know I would sing it, but I've tried to change it up as much as I can.

"And there's a little dance break in it so I'm excited to show people a different side of me."

His performance got the audience on their feet and the judges giving glowing comments.

On Twitter during the ad break, mentor Jennifer Hudson tweeted: "Tell me !!! you didn't feel like you were watching a award show !!!! @jamiemillmusic just kilt it!!! #TeamJhud #TheVoiceUK"

It remains to be seen if Jamie's performance will be enough to get him into the final next week, with the results revealed later this evening.

Following last week's Quarter Finals, it's all even in the teams with Jamie's Team Jennifer teammate Mo Adeniran also still in the running to be crowned The Voice 2017 winner.

Tonight he'll be singing Rag n Bone Man's Human.

Mo said: "My favourite thing about my song this week is the artist - I'm a massive fan of Rag N Bone Man, I love the tone of his voice and I think he's an exceptional British artist."

The Voice UK airs Saturday nights on ITV.
