The Voice UK 2017 semi-finalist Mo Adeniran has opened up about losing a pal in last year's Viola Beach car crash.

Four piece English band Viola Beach were killed along with their manager after an accident in Sweden in 2016.

One of those who sadly died was Mo's musician friend Jack Dakin.

And the car accident followed another tragedy for Mo, with him due to play with the band at a memorial concert for another friend - Mike Carter - who had also passed away.

"I’m still coming to terms with what happened," Mo candidly confessed this week. “I think about the band all the time and I think about Mike all the time. I went to high school with Jack."

He told The Sun newspaper: “We were best friends and lived together at one point.

“Further down the line I’d like to do something, a tribute, but at the moment it’s still very fresh in everyone’s minds.”

Tonight Mo will be singing Rag n Bone Man's Human.

Mo said: "My favourite thing about my song this week is the artist - I'm a massive fan of Rag N Bone Man, I love the tone of his voice and I think he's an exceptional British artist."

Following last week's Quarter Finals, it's all even in the teams with Mo's Team Jennifer teammate Jamie Miller also still in the running to be crowned The Voice 2017 winner.

Gavin Rossdale has Max Vickers and Truly Ford fighting his corner while Sir Tom Jones's team consists of Into the Ark and Craig Ward.
