Ed Balls will Gangnam again for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day this Friday night.

Strictly Come Dancing star Ed will reprise his now all too famous performance this Friday night.

He revealed to BBC Radio 2 host and fellow Strictly contestant Jeremy Vine: "I am going down to The O2 as we are going to film the opening dance song number for Comic Relief on Friday night.

"I am going to be with all these celebrities and stars and comedians and think I’ll be giving them a bit of Gangnam Style."

Ed Balls' Salsa to Gangnam Style on Strictly Come Dancing 2016 became the year's most popular routine so far.

After 10 weeks of dances it took Ed's salsa hips just days to overtake them all.

Ed's Salsa has been watched over 700,000 times on the official BBC Strictly YouTube account, one of Strictly's most popular routine of all time.

Although we should bear in mind that YouTube wasn't even a thing when Strictly first started...

Ed and pro partner Katya Jones performed the Salsa to 'Gangnam Style' by Psy on the show and got a standing ovation, from the audience at least.

The judges didn't know quite what to say.

Darcey Bussell commented: "That will go down in Strictly history."

Bruno Tonioli said:"I feel a bit queasy and queer. It's the best worst dance I've seen."

Craig Revel Horwood added: "Three letters, darling, O M G."

Len Goodman concluded: "I don't think there are words in the dictionary to describe that."

When it came to the scores, Craig gave a 4, Darcey a 7, Len an 8 and Bruno a 6 for a total of 25.

It was enough to keep Ed in that week but he finally bowed out after ten weeks in the competition.

Red Nose Day airs 7PM on BBC One.
